The Vistas at Bettendorf is looking for a Full Time Maintenance Assistant to help in the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility. Responsibilities:

• Handle the day-to-day maintenance functions.
• Assist in setting Maintenance standards.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with Nursing Services when performing maintenance assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
• Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of ten (10) years experience in a maintenance department in a health-related facility.
• Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures in the long-term care facility.
• Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Maintenance Department.
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and maintain the appearance of work areas.
•  Must perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for order, safety and proper performance of equipment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner
